Pucker up, Valentine's Day is approaching...

The abundance of red roses, heart-shaped boxes, and those sweet little candy-hearts can mean only one thing: love is in the air and Valentine's Day is just around the corner.  Yet, here at On The Rocks..., we see Valentine's Day as the perfect opportunity to cheat, not on your spouse, but on your taste.

If the color red is Valentine's Days' better half, then the color white is it's half red doesn't know about.  Assuming you can keep a secret, allow us to formally introduce the two of you; Visitor, meet Kissable, Kissable, meet Visitor.

Kissable

Drink Type: Cocktail

Ingredients:
3/4 oz. orange flavored vodka
3/4 oz. white crème de cacao
1-1/2 oz. milk

Instructions:
Pour orange vodka, white crème de cacao and milk into a shaker with ice.  Shake and strain into a martini glass.

Description:
Initially, I was skeptical of a cocktail with milk and even more so, nervous that the orange vodka might dominate the entire drink.  Boy was I wrong.  Kissable is smooth, largely in part to the resulting frothiness of the combination of crème de cacao and milk.  Upon initial sip, the tongue is administered a slight orange taste followed by a creamy, vanilla-like flavor.  As the swallowing process begins, orange returns and, once compounded with vanilla, results in an orange Creamsicle flavor.  I wouldn't call a Kissable a romantic drink, but the sweetness attributed to it is representational of the sweetness two loved-ones feel on Valentine's Day.
